Honey Moon

Tortuguero beach (caribean)
We whent to Costa Rica for our honey moon. Arrived to San Jose at night, and then very very early the next morning we left to Tortuguero it's a very cool island in the Caribian part, it took us 3 hours in a bus, and 1.5 hours in a boat to get there. It was beautifull we whent to the little town, stayed there only one night. The hotel was nice, very natury, we whent in a boat trip to see the animals, got to see some monkeys and a lot of birds, eagles, and turtles.

From Tortugueros we whent to Arenal, that was a 1.5 hour boat trip, then about 4 hours to Arenal. That is were the Volcano is, but it was very clowdy the days we were there, that the Volcaneno was not visible on any day we were there, we did got to some hot spring waters and then saw some butterflies, ants, and cocodrilles in a little reserve they had. We also whent to the Fortuna water falls, it was amazing, but that day it was raining a little bit...

From Arenal we whent to the Pacific side, where the weather was much better, but the longest distance in a little van to travel... about 5 hours, but it was very nice, we went to Manuel Antonio, it's a National Park, and it's adorable! very green, and lot's of animals, we saw monkeys, sloths, lot's of lizards, and many other animals, there we whent on a Catamaran tour, we got to see some local dolphins, and a whale, we did some snorkeling as well, it was a lot of fun, saw a lot of fishes, and had some great food, mahi mahi cobob's.

Alebrijes en Reforma

Alebrijes, there is an exposition in one of the main streets here, and it's between my house, and work, they made some Alebrijes (are brightly colored Mexican folk art sculptures of fantastical creatures) There were some cool ones, and some that really were not put to a lot of effort. We strolled down as we walked to get some yummy Pozole... and the DIET! ups! yes we are less then the month away....

We were a Hospital, there was blood, and body parts (fake of course) all over the place! we had a black light, and a strobe light! ohh yes, now you see why we won. I took my nice trick or treating, here at the offices, she got a LOT of candy, and was dressed as a Dragon.
On the 1st is when people here go out trick or treating... Joaquin dressed ups as Chicky Bicentenario, since everything here is Bicentennial... hahaha... I actually got some candy, and was apparently very famous, every one wanted pictures, with the Mexican Chucky, Mariachi Chicky, Chukote... many names! We had some guayaba, and jam tamales, they were good, with some atole, ohh yes, DIET so close to the wedding!! ahhh.
Here are some pictures, enjoy....

Tepotzotlan

Day of the Dead! I love this day, skull, remembering loved ones, and special delicious bread! yummy!
Well we went to see the "Ofrenda" that is put up on this special time at tepotzotlan, it's famous, and really big, the town is a "Magical Town" there are about 10 towns like this in Mexico. Very Colonial.
The church has gold all over the inside. It used to be a Convent, and now is a museum.
It was Joaquin, and Samuel's (15 days old baby) 1st visit to this Magical Town.

It might have been better since he was thinking TX would be winning... ups Score was SF 11 - TX 7.

Bridal Shower take 2

Another Bridal shower, that was so much fun. My co-workers arranged a Bridal Shower for me, it was so much fun, we had great food (Argentinian' at the grill) salads, and a delicious cake! We paid some games, and I received some great advise from the attendees... I am sure I will put to use. Joaquin showed up with some wonderful flowers, and I liked the advise that was given to me from a daughter of my supervisor... "He should always give me flowers" that is great advise. We received place mats, really nice place mats... I guess we like to eat! hahaha and they know. It was a lot of fun.

And there is a new baby here! My cousin Celvia had a Baby Boy this past Friday at 10pm! He is really cute, and very calm as of this Sunday that I got to see him. Here are some pictures of the baby... his name is Samuel Uriel, weight 6.9 lbs. has a cute little nose, and tinny mouth.

Lot's of fun, and Lot's of eating,,, back to the gym!

Downtown...

This passed weekend Joaquin and I went down town to find some things for the wedding, We were part of a hippy something parade on our way to the subway stop (people dressed like buda's and painted in gold??). Then we were on our way to downtown Mexico, and some how I got confused, on the subway stop, and we ended up about 30 taxi pesos away from where we need it to go... I guess Juarez does not sound like Allende! honest mistake! haha..
We walked streets and streets of Wedding things, dresses, shoes (which I have not found yet) veils, so many things! I did find a box for my lazo, and my finger less gloves hurray!
We walked some more, and went to a delicious bread place, we bought some, and then shared with my aunt, we are so capable of eating soo much of that bread, don't ask why I know we can eat it all! it's really really good.
I didn't take my camera, on Saturdays there is a lot of people, and I didn't want to worry about getting it stolen, maybe next time i will take some pictures, but I will add some random pics to share with you here...
